Although this position may or may not be true, if it is true, it certainly reinforces the notion that these schoolchildren were necessary martyrs in The War On Terror, blowback, if you will, as a heavily militarized society enters its tenth year of war. If statement one is a lie, then we must not disarm. This would be suicide when facing liars of such stunning malevolence.

If statement one is a lie, then all the trillion of dollars and millions of dead were caused by government lies. If statement one is a lie, then 911 was a lie.

Hurricane Sandy didn’t really blow me away either. I knew it would be mainly hype, but Groupthink rules dictate a certain amount of cowardice. Follow the leader, like lemmings over the cliff.

Part of me favors the obvious explanation– all the media and political bigwigs live near the beach, so have to worry about ocean storms. Since they are their own egocentric little universes, we sturdy inland folk have to care as well. Reading into the overhyping of Sandy might be giving them too much credit.

Yet, we have two presidential candidates who simply can’t stand up to much scrutiny. Sandy takes politics off the table a bit in the critical pre-Election week.

Anyway, working on releasing ZWO as a box set.

I am going through the motions due to this massive head cold I have. I’m just not up for anything, not really. I’m hoping I could either make some progress on this new thing I’m writing, or just be able to let it go.

The ZWO series is being edited, finally, by a third party. The person editing it did most of an English degree and has since read a lot. I hope they eventually come across. It is very difficult to find qualified people, or even unqualified people, who will make the massive investment in time this kind of thing requires.

The end goal is the ZWO box set. New features, revised beginning, maybe some illustrations.

Book sales are not robust. I was doing a little better at one point. I will say I am working almost constantly now, and have less immediate need for cash, but when I was getting some checks, it was greatly appreciated. Still, I keep this book project on the burner. I love books, and love the idea my books could eventually be honed into good ones. The Lazarus Law was published in February of this year. What matters is the final form of the books.

Now, I read Drudge. I don’t trust him, but he’s tapped into an aspect of our current malaise. He provides a snapshot of what media happenings are being pushed down America’s gullet. News is a commodity, and one story pushes another story off the headlines. Diversions are important so real events can play out unmolested by prying eyes.
Don’t get me wrong. We live in a fairly free society in the sense that a lot of news gets reported, but what gets pushed is the real question. What is the shelf life of news?
For instance, it was recently reported that members of Congress can engage in insider trading based on information gleaned from their legislative activities. Whoa. That is news. What a revelation. A real bombshell. I wonder how Martha Stewart feels, after she got denounced by all the politicians she gave money to when she got popped for insider trading. That story had no legs, though. What we get, ad infinitum, is Pussy Riot.
As near as I can tell, Pussy Riot is a Russian crew dedicated to social disruption. They are more pornographers than artists, or at least they do not seem to have produced any music or other art. They got some jail time for disturbing the peace in a Russian church, hence their forgiveness.
Must I forgive Pussy Riot, though? I mean, I must be supposed to have an opinion, but it’s hard. I don’t really care about them. Tell you what. I’ll forgive Pussy Riot, but I hope those insider trading bastards in Congress burn in hell.
